ISU downs Drake

The Iowa State Cyclones shot a sizzling 60-percent for the game as the Cyclones cruised past Drake 76-55 Sunday in an in-state basketball matchup in Ames. Iowa State’s Jake Sullivan had an impressive outing especially on the defensive end where he held Drake standout Luke Mc Donald to just two of 11 shooting.Sullivan says the Cyclones were ready to play after final exams.Senior center Greg Danielson led Drake with 18-points and nine rebounds. He says ISU played outstanding defense and it was the first time his team had been outrebounded.Danielson says Sullivan’s effort on defense is proof that he has become a complete player.
