Death of Northwest Iowa nursing home patient still a mystery

January 9, 2003 By admin

Mystery still surrounds the death of a northwest Iowa nursing home resident. Sioux County authorities say they -do- know how 87-year-old Dick Post died, but they’re not saying what it was. Post died in April and his body was exhumed Tuesday for an autopsy. He’d been a resident of Valley Manor Care Center in Rock Valley. 26-year-old Chritine VanOort had been a caretaker there and she’s now charged with murder. She’s been jailed since December.
