Clark will leave Iowa to NFL

January 15, 2003 By admin

Dallas Clark’s Iowa football career has ended. The All-American tight end today announced he will bypass his senior season and enter the N-F-L draft.Clark says there was no easy way to make the decision and eventually was made with time and he says no one could tell him the right answer, it was something he had to feel comfortable with.Clark talked with several N-F-L people to get advice.Clark says how he performs in workouts will have a bearing on where he lands, but he’s been told his draft possibilities are between late first round and early third round. He says he sees himself as a solid second round pick, but says a lot can change in the next few months.Clark says rumors connecting Kirk Ferentz to an N-F-L coaching vacancy had no impact in his decision, as he was leaning toward going into the N-F-L already.
