It has been a disappointing season for the Iowa State women but Sunday’s game against Missouri was a disaster. The Cyclones fell behind early enroute to an 86-55 loss to the Tigers in Big 12 action. Coach Bill Fennelly offered no excuses during his postgame show on the Cyclone Network. Fennelly says they were pitiful and everything they tried didn’t work and he was surprised they played so poorly. He says they “got taken out back and whooped, but good.”
Lindsey Wilson had 25 points but it was not enough to keep the Cyclones in the game. Fennelly says they now need the courage to come back out and play better.
