Hawkeye women look to break road woes

January 23, 2003 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women head back on the road tonight and the road has not been kind. Iowa has lost its last three road games and the closest margin was a 29-point loss at Minnesota. Tonight the Hawks battle 12th rated Purdue, just 48-hours after a home victory over Wisconsin. The timing is actually more of a concern for Iowa coach Lisa Bluder than the opponent.Bluder says the difference between the road and home has been baffling. She says it bothers her that teams are having such problems between home and road games as you have to play well in both games to do well. Iowa is 2-2 in the Big Ten.
