A crash Friday morning just south of Elkport on a County road has claimed one life. An Elkader veterinarian died of injuries from the two-vehicle accident in Clayton County. 43-year-old Bradley Kuehl of Elkader was driving north toward Elkport when he lost control of his pickup on an icy curve and collided with a milk truck driven by 48-year-old Robert Von Lehmden of Dyersville. Kuehl died later at the Guttenberg hospital, and Von Lehmden was treated for his injuries at the hospital in Dyersville.
