It’s not exactly bio-terrorist warfare, but another Iowa school has had to temporarily shut down due to rampant illnesses. Roger Teeling is principal of Calamus-Wheatland Elementary School in eastern Iowa’s Clinton County, which is closed through the rest of the week.Teeling says absences last week were above ten-percent and doubled this week.Teeling says the kids are ill with strep throat, tonsilitis, flu and fevers up to 104-degrees. The district has 292 students K-6th grade.
