A science fiction film shot entirely in Iowa with a cast of mostly Iowans is showing this weekend in Des Moines. The movie’s called “The Yoofo Club” and follows a quirky storyline, according to producer Kimberly Busbee. It follows a bar owner and his misfit friends who are waiting for the return of a spacecraft which took away the barkeep’s wife ten years earlier. Busbee says the movie has all-local roots, with all Iowa talent, or people who lived here at one time. It also has an all Iowa crew. “The Yoofo Club” is showing tonight (Saturday) at 7:30 and 10 o’clock and Sunday afternoon at 3 at the Vaudeville Mews, a cabaret theatre/bar in Des Moines’ Court Avenue District.
