Rock guitarist and hunting enthusiast Ted Nugent is in Iowa on a speaking tour today. Nugent has sold more than 30-million albums and says he loves playing his hard-driving music, but his true passion is for the hunt. He says it’s been too long since he accompanied then-Governor Terry Branstad on a bow-hunting excursion in Iowa. He says he shared a “spirit of the wild” campfire with the governor and some “great farmers and great citizens of America.”Nugent says he warmly remembers his hunting adventure with former Governor Branstad. Nugent is speaking at 2 P.M. today and tomorrow at the Iowa Deer Classic at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines. His new cookbook is entitled “Kill It and Grill It”.
