The boys state high school tournament opens this morning at Veterans Auditorium with the quarterfinal round in class 1A. The opener is at 10:30 and matches the top seed in the field, unbeaten North Mahaska led by UNI bound forward Grant Stout against Hubbard-Radcliffe. North Mahaska is one of two teams from the South Iowa Cedar League in the field, the other is H-L-V of Victor.
