Iowa moves back start of Big Ten season

University of Iowa officials have moved back the start of the Hawkeyes Big Ten baseball series against Michigan. Iowa coach Scott Broghamer says the start of the series is being moved a day due to concerns over Friday’s forecast for rain and snow. Broghamer says weather is always a concern and the would like to avoid cancelling conference games that cannot be made up at a later date. He says every year the Big Ten season comes down to the wire and each game is important in deciding who gets into the tournament.Iowa is 6-6 and Broghamer with a solid pitching staff he likes their chances in the conference race.
