Deere wins award for "Corporate Citizenship"

April 7, 2003 By admin

Iowa’s largest manufacturing employer is also one of the best corporate citizens, according to a new survey. Deere and Company is in the top five-percent of the one-thousand largest publicly-traded companies in a ranking of corporate citizenship. The list was compiled by “Business Ethics” magazine. Quad Cities-based Deere ranked 47th this year, the company’s fourth consecutive year on the list and up 17 slots from last year. The rankings are based on factors including corporate service to shareholders, employees, customers, the community, the environment, women and minorities. General Mills ranked number one.
