Central College names new mens’ basketball coach

May 1, 2003 By admin

Central College has named Mike Boschee as the school’s new mens’ basketball coach. Boschee has been an assistant coach at Gustavus Adolphus since 1993 and felt Central was the right fit, as he says it’s similar to Gustavus.Central has a rich athletic tradition but has struggled in mens’ basketball in recent years. Boschee hopes to change that. He says it may just take a new outlook from someone who’s rolling up their sleeves and going to work. Boschee says success isn’t always measured by wins and losses, but he says that’s what they be striving for, to win games and conference championships. He replaces Dan Mason who resigned after six-years at the helm.
