UNI begins stretch run

Northern Iowa begins the stretch run of the Missouri Valley Conference baseball race with the first of a four-game series at Evansville. The Panthers are 11-12, good for fourth in a balanced conference race. The top six teams play in the Valley post-season tournament.U-N-I coach Rick Heller says at 10-14, Evansville is part of the post season chase. Evansville’s coach is Dave Schrage, the coach who proceeded Heller, which he says should make it interesting.
