Governor touts new Winnebago plant

May 10, 2003 By admin

Governor Vilsack was in Charles City Friday morning, helping note the official opening of the newest plant by Winnebago Industries. The governor notes that four Iowa communities benefit from the expansion, and adds that 36-hundred workers in all will have jobs at this and Winnebago’s other plants. Governor Vilsack went to Charles City Friday to salute the official opening of a new Winnebago plant. Winnebago made a “major capital investment,” over twelve and-a-half million dollars, in partnership with state government. Vilsack pointed out the new recreational-vehicle factory is Winnebago’s biggest yet and will add more employees over the next couple years.
