Cable tv will feature two more Iowa football games

June 17, 2003 By admin

The Iowa football team has added two more national television appearances for next season. The Hawkeyes will make two appearances on ESPN during the non-conference season. The season opener at home against Miami of Ohio on August 30th will be carried by ESPN 2 with an early 11 A.M. kickoff and the September 20th game against Arizona State will be under the lights. Either ESPN or the “Duece” will carry to game. Kickoff of that game will be nailed down later but it will either be 5:30 or 6:45. Iowa already had three national tv appearances set with the October 4th game at home against Michigan on ABC, the October 18th showdown with defending national champion Ohio State in Columbus and the September 13th visit to Iowa State which will be carried by FOX sports.
