A former Olympian is bringing his summer wrestling camp to Iowa later this month. Ken Chertow offers camps across the country and his “Gold Medal Training Camp” will be at Central College from July 11th through the 15th. The former Penn State All-American says he enjoys working with young competitors.Chertow says among the coaches at his camp will be Iowa City High’s Brad Smith. Smith has worked the camps in the past. Chertow says his camp will feature a number of elite high school competitors but says he likes to tailor the format to youngsters.Chertow says beyond the technical aspects of the sport he wants to instill the motivation needed to become successful.
