You’ll be able to spot at least one familiar face among the riders in RAGBRAI this year. Iowa First Lady is among the thousands of riders who left Shenandoah today on RAGBRAI. Vilsack says this is her fourth ride and she’ll have visited 26 libraries once it’s all over. Vilsack says she made the mistake of saying she’d do anything to help a library, and the Mayor of Emerson put her in a dunk tank. The governor will join his wife later on the leg of the ride Friday that ends in their hometown of Mt. Pleasant.Here today and gone tomorrow — that’s the feeling after thousands of bike riders left Shenandoah today. Shenandoah RAGBRAI co-chair Chris Sherman says it took six months to get ready for the one night stay of riders in her town. Sherman says it has been a lot of fun. The thousands of riders left Shenandoah this morning on their way to Bedford.
