McLeod U-S-A has signed an agreement with K-Mart to become the retailer’s primary telecommunications provider. McLeod Marketing Vice-President Greg Cosby says the agreement signifies a change in direction for the Cedar Rapids-based company. He says this goes along with the deal recently signed with Walgreens, and continues their focus of providing services to larger businesses. This latest agreement includes 176 K-Mart locations in 14 states, including two distribution centers. He says it will mostly include local phone service to the stores. In addition to local phone service, McLeod USA will provide K-Mart with customized billing and onsite project management.
