Central College opens the football season this weekend at home against Augustana of Illinois. Dutch coach Rich Kacmarynski says after a lengthy pre-season the players are anxious for the opener. It has been about four weeks since they started and he says his team has made the best of it.Kacmarynski says Augustana will have the advantage in game experience after opening last week against Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He says they were able to work out some of the bugs and are ready to play again. Mistakes are a key in a season opener and the Dutch found that out a year ago in a loss to Augustana. He says they need to do a better job of taking care of the football and they’ll be fine.
