The Northern Iowa Panthers will take on their second straight opponent from the Southland Conference when they host Northwestern State of Louisiana in the UNI-Dome Saturday. UNI is 2-1 after last weeks win at Stephen F. Austin. Northwestern State is 3-1 with the only loss coming to Tulane in overtime. Panther coach Mark Farley says they’re from the same conference and are a two-time playoff team with a lot of speed and a lot of talent. Both teams have put up impressive numbers and on paper it looks like it could be a high-scoring affair. Farley says he hopes it’s not high scoring, unless his team gets a lot of points. He says if you enjoyed last Thursday’s game, you’ll enjoy this week’s game. Northwestern State is ranked 11th in the latest one-double-a poll.
