Authorities say they’ve determined what caused an explosion that killed a man and destroyed his house two weeks ago in a small community on the southwest side of Oskaloosa. Oskaloosa Fire Chief Frank Glandon says the State Fire Marshal’s office determined that an LP gas leak within the house was indeed the culprit, after doing various tests at the house in Beacon. Glandon says the ignition source is still unknown at this point. The October 24th blast that killed 89-year-old Lloyd Baker kept Oskaloosa firefighters busy for about seven hours. Baker was the only occupant in the house at the time of the explosion.
