Northwest Iowa teen faces charges

December 1, 2003 By admin

A teenager from northwest Iowa faces several charges after his arrest early Sunday. Buena Vista County authorities received a report of a missing 13-year-old Sioux Rapids boy, and as they were searching for him, they saw a pickup run into a house, then drive away. Deputies stopped the truck, and the driver — the missing boy — wastaken into custody. The arrest report indicates the truck was stolen from a Sioux Rapids home and driven into the front porch, causing $7500 damage. There was also $2000 damage to the pickup Authorities suspect the boy is responsible for burglaries in several vehicles and garages. He’s been charged with four counts of felony burglary, three counts of aggravated misdemeanor burglary, operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, reckless driving and driving without a license.
