Thousands of Fort Dodge residents had good excuses if they were late for work or school this morning. The power was out early this morning for about two-and-a-half hours, according to MidAmerican Energy spokesman Allan Urlis. Urlis says 12-thousand Fort Dodge customers were without power from about 2:30 until just after 5 AM due to a problem at a circuit breaker at a substation. Despite all of this week’s foul weather, Urlis says the outage was not due to Mother Nature.Urlis says all customers are back online this morning.
