Drake hopes to get to .500

Drake will try to even its record at 3-3 when the Bulldogs host Southern Utah Saturday afternoon. Drake opened Missouri Valley action last weekend with a loss to Southern Illinois. The Thunderbirds are also 2-3. Bulldog coach Tom Davis says they appear to be a well-coached, well-organized team. This will be Drake’s only game in a 14-day stretch but Davis says it is something they need. He says guys are focusing on getting their final papers in and getting ready for exams, so this break comes at a good time.
