Iowa State’s postseason fate uncertain in final week of season

March 1, 2004 By admin

Iowa State’s post-season hopes are up in the air as the Cyclones head into the final week of the regular season. I-S-U is 6-8 in the Big-12 and hosts Colorado on Wednesday before closing the regular season at Texas Tech. Coach Wayne Morgan says they need to do everything they can to win their last two games. Morgan says the Cyclones have show improvement despite losing a couple of close games, but will need to string some victories together to make the NCAA Tournament. He says if they end up 8-8 in the conference and have some success in the Big 12 tournament, then the NCAA might be a possibility, otherwise it’s the N-I-T.The Cyclones are 15-10 overall.
