Iowa State is looking to revamp their ground game as the Cyclones go through spring drills. New offensive coordinator Barney Cotton has made some position changes on the offensive line as the Cyclones look to boost a ground game which averaged just over 120-yards per game during a 2-10 season. Head coach Dan McCarney eliminating mistakes is also a focus this spring. He says they have to be more efficient on offense and cut down the mistakes. He says they have to improve the run game, and make more plays in the pass game. McCarney says with new coaches on the offensive side of the ball every phase needs work. He says with a new system and three new coaches, he didn’t expect to be ready right away.Iowa State’s spring game is April 17th.
