The World Pork Expo going on in Des Moines is more than just pigs. While producers come for the educational workshops, new products and hog-raising info, there’s also time for a toy show. Kenneth Berry is the president of the National Pork Producers Council and says there’s a farm toy show and sale, with a special toy tractor commissioned for this event. Berry says he likes to reminisce about being a kid and playing with this kind of toys. The National Farm Toy Museum in Dyersville has set up a traveling exhibit titled “Farm Toys Through the Years.” The World Pork Expo began Thursday at the state fairgrounds in Des Moines and runs through Saturday.
