High school baseball tournasment action continues tonight in class 1A with the district semifinals. Fourth-ranked North Mahaska will be out to avenge a substate loss last season with a match-up against Twin Cedars. These teams are not strangers after Twin Cedars beat North Mahaska 5-4 in its own tournament earlier this season. North Mahaska coach Kevin Kelderman say the “weird part” is a lot of the kids know one another from Little League or from playing together on senior Babe Ruth teams. He says there’s a bit of a rivalry between the two teams because they seem to end up playing one another a lot in the post-season. Kelderman expects a tough game, but hopes his team “can make things happen with the bat.”
