Iowa Games executive director Jim Hallihan is hoping for another break in the weather for the second weekend of the summer games. The opening weekend was highlighted by nearly ideal conditions and the temperature is expected to drop for the upcoming weekend as well. He says the weather is probably the most important thing that happens during the weekend. He says there was absolutely perfect weather throughout the weekend. Hallihan says the nice weather makes it better for everyone involved, as it prevents injuries by keeping people from becoming overheated and irritable.Hallihan says the opening weekend had a limited number of injuries, with only one bad mishap in cycling. One bicyclist broke his collarbone.Seven sports will be contested this weekend.
