UNI volleyball player wins second conference honor

October 12, 2004 By admin

For the second time this season UNI volleyball player Danielle Brazda has been named the M-V-C freshman of the week. Brazda, a middle blocker from Omaha, Nebraska, played a pivotal role as she helped UNI go 3-0 last week. UNI coach Bobbi Peterson says she’s not surprised as they knew Brazda had a lot of potential. Peterson says she’s somebody that’s really aggressive and has a head for the game. UNI returns to action at home on Friday against Drake.
