Iowa State hosts Nebraska and with a win would move into a tie for the Big-12 north division lead. The Cyclones have momentum after back-to-back victories. Iowa State coach Dan McCarney says there’s marked improvement that the kids can see and that’s what they have to build on. Cyclone offensive coordinator Barney Cotton was bart of the Nebraska coaching staff that was let go at the end of last serason. McCarney says while Cotton is more familiar with the Husker personel revenge is not an issue in this game. He says he doesn’t sense this as “win one for the Barney” he says it’s win one for the Cyclones.Iowa State is coming off a win over Kansas but McCarney says they will need a much better effort from the offense this week. He says their execution has to be better and they have to score some more points against what will be an outstanding defense.
