The Iowa State Patrol says a two-vehicle accident this (Monday) morning four miles east of Webster City on a Hamilton County gravel road killed two people and left two others injured. The dead are identified as 17-year-old James Spitler of Blairsburg and 20-year-old Joshua Spitler of Webster City. Injured in the accident were fifty-year-old Donald McNelly and three-year-old Jackson McNelly of Webster City. Reports indicate the westbound car driven by James Spitler crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound pickup driven by Donald McNelly. Both James and Joshua Spitler were killed instantly. Jackson McNelly was taken to a Webster City for treatment and Donald McNelly was transferred to Des Moines.
