Grinnell softball team looks to continue winning streak

April 6, 2005 By admin

The Grinnell College softball team looks to continue its winning ways on Wednesday with a non-conference doubleheader at Cornell. Grinnell has won six of its last seven games and have done so without a power game.Grinnell coach Tom Sonnichson says they don’t have people who can crush the ball, so they’ll have to manufacture runs. He says they will be able to put pressure on defenses with their running game. He says they’ve never had this much team speed in the past. After opening the season with four losses the Pioneers are now 6-5.
