A fifteen-year-old female golf phenom is joining the field at this year’s John Deere Classic near the Quad Cities. This is the third time Michelle Wie has taken her priomising game to the PGA Tour. Wie played the Sony Open in Hawaii the second week of the year and missed the cut by seven shots.Tournament director Claire Pederson says they tried to get Wie to play in the tournament last year but she declined. This year she accepted one of four sponsor exemptions the tournament can give out. Pederson says they have used those exemptions for people who can get more fans out.The tournament is July seventh through the tenth.
