Drake expects last minute rush for Relays tickets

April 25, 2005 By admin

The next two days are expected to be busy ones in the Drake ticket office as they look to fill orders for this week’s Drake Relays. Ticket manager Lucas Kraut says tickets remain for both days but with the high school field being set over the weekend they expect a rush to purchase seats. He says tickets will no longer be mailed out but can be taken over the phone, in person or via the web. He says his office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., but the Internet is available 24-7.Kraut says they have heard from fans who want to attend the relays before the stadium is renovated this summer. He says the athletes talk about the special feel of the stadium and people want to be a part of that before the changes. The multi-events begin on Wednesday.
