A southwest Iowa man was killed over the weekend in a car-deer collision. The Iowa State Patrol says after 28-year-old Timothy Wilson hit a deer northeast of Greenfield Friday night his car went out of control. Wilson tried to correct the vehicle and ended up spinning the car off the road into the opposite ditch. He hit a utility pole with enough force to bring it down. According to the patrol, Wilson was not wearing a seatbelt. He died at the scene.
