Police in eastern Iowa are trying to find a man involved in a fatal accident. Cedar Rapids police and the Linn County Sheriff’s Department are trying to find 34-year-old Merle Shank. Shank has been identified as the driver of a pickup that attempted to elude deputies in the early morning hours of April 9th. Shank lost control of the pickup, and the resulting crash killed his passenger, Katrina Nielson. Shank is wanted for questioning. He’s described as white, 5-7, 185 pounds, balding with blondish-brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on his is asked to call police.
