Iowa and Drake face off in softball

The 21st ranked Iowa softball team is at home tonight against Drake in non-conference play. The Bulldogs are 26-21 on the year and second year coach Rich Calvert was on Gail Blevins staff at Iowa before taking the job at Drake. He calls Blevins one of the top five coaches in the country.The Bulldogs are 12-12 in Missouri Valley action and can lock up a spot in the conference post-season tournament with one victory in a three game series against UNI. He says you always want an opportunity to keep playing if you can.Iowa is 44-10 overall.
