Chaperone on Dubuque bus charged with sexual abuse

A chaperone on a Dubuque church bus is charged with assaulting a boy he was overseeing. 53-year-old Kent Pittman of East Dubuque, Illinois is charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Illinois. Pittman was a chaperone on a bus owned by the Bible Baptist Church in Dubuque. Pittman is accused of having improper contact with an 11-year-old boy on May 1st. He’s being held on a one-million dollar bond in an Illinois jail. Dubuque police are also investigating to see if charges will be filed in Iowa.
