Two die in accidents in Southern Iowa

Two men died in separate incidents in southern Iowa over the weekend. An Adams County teen died in a car wreck early Saturday, while a Missouri man died on a farm.Published reports say 18-year-old Ivan James died after the car he was driving crashed into embankment and caught fire. James was driving east on a county road about 6 A.M. Saturday when he crossed the centerline. The car launched over a creek and crashed into the east embankment, flipped and landed in a washout on the north bank. James’ body was reportedly retrieved from the vehicle after authorities arrived. The Taylor County Sheriff’s office reports 53-year-old Dennis Young of St. Joseph, Missouri,was found by a family member in a farm field near Bedford. Young was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information is available about the circumstances at this time.
