Fort Dodge boy’s body recovered from creek

July 1, 2005 By admin

The body of a missing Fort Dodge boy has been found. Jon Jenison was playing in the park, in the waters of Soldier Creek, on Sunday when he was swept away by the strong current. Rainstorms since then haven’t made the search an easy task for volunteers and rescue workers, who couldn’t even get a boat into the rushing river. On Thursday afternoon, as the search continued, the body of the 8-year-old was discovered, not far from where he’d last been seen on Sunday.
