Man drowns in Mississippi

There’s been another deadly accident on an Iowa waterway. Dubuque County authorities are investigating a drowning on the Mississippi River. It happened Tuesday afternoon at the Finley Landings Park north of Sherill. A 31-year-old Chicago man was wading in the river when according to witnesses, he went under and did not come back up. The man’s body was recovered by rescue workers at about eight p.m. The man man’s name has not been released. His body is being sent to Des Moines for an autopsy.
