ISU student killed in car wreck

September 14, 2005 By admin

Students at Iowa State University are mourning the loss of a sophomore who died in a crash last night. It was around sunset when a car with four ISU students was leaving Boone. All four students in the car were returning to Ames from the Boone campus of Des Moines Area Community College, where they attended an evening class. Police say they pulled out onto Highway 30 right in front of an oncoming car. The driver of the first car, 20-year-old Andrew Albright of Lytton, died of injuries from the crash, and his three passengers were hospitalized. The other driver, a 28-year-old man from Onslow in northeast Iowa, was not hurt in the crash.
