September 27, 2005 By admin

A memorial service will be held today (at noon) for an Iowa native and two of his Minnesota college classmates who were killed in a spring car crash. Today is the day set aside by Minnesota State Mankato to remember and celebrate the lives of Jamie Schlachter, Chad Wilson and Wesley Loutsch of Remsen, Iowa. The three MSU students were killed in a crash while on their way to an automotive engineering technology competition in Michigan last May. MSU student, faculty and staff as well as community members are invited o attend today’s celebration at noon in Bresnan Arena in Taylor Center on the campus. The event is being held today because most students had left campus before last May’s tragedy occurred.
