Two drivers in their 60’s hit head-on this weekend on Highway 30 in western Iowa, and one of those drivers is dead. One person was killed and three other injured when two vehicles collided head-on last Sunday afternoon on Highway 30 in southwestern Crawford County. Investigators say an eastbound car driven by 60-year-old Gordon Buchholz (BUHK-hohlz) of Dow City crossed the center line and collided with a westbound vehicle driven by 67-year-old Bonnie Dunham of Dunlap. The impact sent Dunham’s car in the ditch, and the other vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane of the highway. Both drivers and the two passengers in the woman’s vehicle were taken to a local hospital. Bonnie Dunham was pronounced dead at the hospital.
