A former walk-on is expected to see playing time when the Iowa State Cyclones visit his home state to play Texas A@M. David Brown is listed as the back-up to Stevie Hicks and made the most of his first appearance last week by rushing for 77 yards on 15 carries in a victory over Oklahoma State. Brown says it will be nice to go back home and play in front of a few people he knows.Brown grew up just a couple of hours from College Station and has seen a game in Kyle Field. He says it’s very loud and a hostile environment. Brown began his career at division three East Texas Baptist College before moving on to Iowa State. He says he just wanted to see if he make it at this level.
