Republican Party launches website critical of Governor’s travels

October 26, 2005 By admin

The Republican Party of Iowa has launched a new website critical of Iowa’s Democratic governor. They call it travelingtom.com, and it is designed to highlight the amount of time Governor Tom Vilsack is spending outside of the state. A tongue-in-cheek “to do list” on the website claims Vilsack’s traveling the country in hopes of becoming president and distancing himself from the problems he’s created in Iowa. A Vilsack confidant jokingly says the Republican website will help spread the message that Vilsack is becoming a viable candidate for president. The executive director of the Republican Party of Iowa says the website shows the huge differences between Governor Tom and Candidate Tom, and suggests Vilsack only spends enough time in Iowa these days to “plan his next trip.”
