Morningside looks to go 10-0

November 11, 2005 By admin

No matter what happens this weekend the Morningside football team will be playing in the N-A-I-A playoffs but the Mustangs still have plenty of motivation.

With a victory over Dana of Nebraska the Mustangs would finish 10-0, the first unbeaten regular season in school history. Morningside coach Steve Ryan says he told his team that fewer than 20 teams at all levels will finish undefeated. He says he has not considered holding any players out to get ready for the playoffs.

Ryan says for the most part they’re very healthy and he says there have been three games all year where they still had their starters in all game. He says they want to go out and win and go into the playoffs with some momentum built up
