Monona County farmer dies in accident

November 14, 2005 By admin

A farm accident’s claimed the life of a Monona County man near the town of Soldier, in western Iowa. It was about 1:30 Sunday when the Monona County sheriff’s office got a call about a tractor accident at a rural residence near Soldier. When deputies arrived they found 70-year-old Roger McDole pinned under a farm tractor in a cattle feed yard. So far they think McDole was moving some dirt when the tractor rolled over, pinning him under it. The man was taken to a hospital in Onawa, where he was pronounced dead.
